In this video you will see how to use service types.
0:06
A service type defines how a delivery is carried out,
0:11
for example last mile or pickup at a branch.
0:15
To get there, open the menu on the left, go into Settings and choose Service types.
0:21
Here is the list. Each card shows the name,
0:24
the description and the external identifier.
0:27
The circle on the right shows whether the service is active, in green, or inactive, in red.
0:34
A key detail is the external identifier.
0:37
It is a single code that identifies the service type outside of Deri,
0:42
and that same code is used for two things.
0:44
First, API integration: when creating orders,
0:48
whoever integrates can send this code instead of Deri's internal ID.
0:52
Second, Excel import: in the service type column you write that same code,
0:58
and Deri recognizes it.
0:59
It is best to keep it short and unique,
1:02
and not to change it if your integrations already use it.
1:07
If you have many, use the search box.
1:09
Type part of the name, for example retiro, and press Enter to filter the list.
1:15
To change a service, tap the three dots on its card and choose Edit.
1:19
You can change the name, the description and the external identifier.
1:24
As soon as you change something, the Save button is enabled.
1:28
A service you no longer want to offer can be deactivated,
1:32
and activated again whenever you need it.
1:35
Here we activate Logística inversa:
1:37
tap the three dots and choose Activate. The circle turns green.
1:42
And that's it. With your service types in order,
1:45
your team always knows which delivery options are available.
Did you get it?
What is the external identifier of a service type used for?
To identify that service outside Deri, through the API or when importing orders from Excel
