How to use Shipping Types

• 0:02In this video you will see how to use shipping types.
• 0:06A shipping type defines when an order is delivered, for example standard,
• 0:10within forty- eight hours, or express, on the same day.
• 0:14To get there, open the menu on the left, go into Settings and choose Shipping types.
• 0:20Here are all your shipping types.
• 0:22Each card shows the name, the description and the external identifier.
• 0:26The circle on the right shows whether it is active, in green, or inactive, in red.
• 0:32A key detail is the external identifier.
• 0:35It is a single code that identifies the shipping type outside of Deri,
• 0:40and that same code is used for two things.
• 0:43First, API integration: when creating orders,
• 0:46whoever integrates can send this code instead of Deri's internal ID.
• 0:51Second, Excel import: in the shipping type column you write that same code,
• 0:57and Deri recognizes it.
• 0:58It is best to keep it short and unique,
• 1:01and not to change it if your integrations already use it.
• 1:06To view or change one, tap the three dots on its card and choose Edit.
• 1:10At the top are the name, the description and the external identifier.
• 1:15Further down you set the availability.
• 1:18Each letter is a day of the week.
• 1:20Days in purple are active, and the gray ones, like Saturday and Sunday,
• 1:24are days without delivery.
• 1:26For each active day you set the cutoff time,
• 1:29which is the time until which orders are accepted for delivery on that same day,
• 1:34and the delivery time ranges, for example morning or afternoon.
• 1:38When you are done, tap Save.
• 1:39If you change the name or the description, the button is enabled.
• 1:44A shipping type you are not going to use can be deactivated, and activated again whenever you need it.
• 1:50Here we activate Programado:
• 1:52tap the three dots and choose Activate.
• 1:54And that's it. With your shipping types well configured,
• 1:58your customers know when they can receive their orders.
