How shipment attribute rules work
Transcript

0:02
Rules automatically assign an attribute to shipments, without needing to assign it by hand.
0:08
Each rule you see in the list shows the attribute it assigns and its priority.
0:13
The help explains the available conditions —client, service type, zone, warehouse,
0:19
supplier, delivery days and time window—, plus a comment condition,
0:24
which searches for a given text within the order's comment.
0:28
It also clarifies that leaving conditions empty makes the rule apply to every
0:33
shipment, and that each rule assigns a single attribute.
0:38
Let's close the help and create a new rule.
0:41
First you choose the attribute the rule will assign;
0:44
then you give it a name and, if needed, add conditions.
0:48
We choose Urgent.
0:51
We name it "Urgent by zone".
0:53
Once created, it appears right away in the list.
0:56
Before trusting a rule, you can test it against a real shipment without changing anything.
1:02
We enter the shipment number and evaluate.
1:05
It shows which rules match and which attributes would be applied
1:08
— a safe way to check before relying on it.
1:11
Inside a shipment, the Requirements section shows the current attributes:
1:16
some come from automatic rules, and others were added by hand.
1:20
Tapping recalculate updates this shipment's attributes instantly,
1:24
without waiting for the automatic recalculation triggered when a rule is edited or deactivated.
Did you get it?
What happens if an attribute rule is created with no conditions at all?
It applies to all shipments
It stays inactive until at least one condition is added
It only applies to shipments marked as urgent
