How to use Shipping Types

• 0:02In this video you will see how to use your store's shipping types.
• 0:06A shipping type defines when an order is delivered, for example standard,
• 0:11within forty-eight hours, or express, on the same day,
• 0:15and it is what you choose when you create an order.
• 0:19To get there, open the menu on the left, go into Settings and choose Shipping types.
• 0:24Here are all your shipping types.
• 0:26Each card shows the name, the description and the external identifier.
• 0:30The circle on the right shows whether it is active, in green, or inactive, in red.
• 0:36A key detail is the external identifier.
• 0:39It is a single code that identifies the shipping type outside of Deri,
• 0:44and that same code is used for two things.
• 0:46First, API integration: when creating orders,
• 0:50you can send this code instead of Deri's internal ID.
• 0:53Second, Excel import: in the shipping type column you write that same code,
• 0:58and Deri recognizes it.
• 1:00It is best to keep it short and unique,
• 1:02and not to change it if your integrations already use it.
• 1:07To view or change one, tap the three dots on its card and choose Edit.
• 1:12At the top are the name, the description and the external identifier.
• 1:17Further down you set the availability.
• 1:19Each letter is a day of the week.
• 1:21Days in purple are active, and the gray ones, like Saturday and Sunday,
• 1:26are days without delivery.
• 1:28For each active day you set the cutoff time,
• 1:31which is the time until which orders are accepted for delivery on that same day,
• 1:36and the delivery time ranges, for example morning or afternoon.
• 1:40When you are done, tap Save.
• 1:42If you change the name or the description, the button is enabled.
• 1:47A shipping type you are not going to use can be deactivated,
• 1:50and activated again whenever you need it.
• 1:53Here we activate Programado:
• 1:54tap the three dots and choose Activate.
• 1:57And that's it. With your shipping types well configured,
• 2:00your buyers know when they will receive their orders.
