How to invite users to your store: global role or per-branch roles

• 0:02To invite users to your store, go to the Users menu.
• 0:05There you'll see the list of people who are already part of the account,
• 0:09along with each one's role.
• 0:11Tap the plus button to invite someone new.
• 0:14Type the email address of the person you want to invite.
• 0:18You can add several emails if you need to invite more than one.
• 0:22Below there are two ways to grant access:
• 0:25a default role, which applies to the whole account, or roles inside specific branches.
• 0:30Let's start with the default role.
• 0:33Watch what happens: when you pick a default role,
• 0:36the branches section is disabled entirely.
• 0:39A global role applies to the whole store,
• 0:42so it can't be narrowed down to a single branch.
• 0:45The two options are mutually exclusive.
• 0:48If instead you want to grant access to one branch only, leave the default role empty.
• 0:53Check the branch and expand it with the arrow.
• 0:56Now it's the default role that gets disabled,
• 0:59and the branch warns you in red that you must pick at least one role inside it.
• 1:04If you try to send the invitation without picking any, the app stops you:
• 1:08every selected branch needs at least one role assigned.
• 1:12So pick the role they'll have inside that branch.
• 1:16Note these are branch-specific roles, different from the global ones.
• 1:21You can check more than one, and also add other branches,
• 1:25each with its own roles.
• 1:27Now send the invitation. The person gets an email with the link to join,
• 1:31and the same link stays at the top in case you'd rather share it yourself.
• 1:36The invitation sets a starting point.
• 1:38Once the person has joined, you can widen their access from the three dots on their row,
• 1:43under Manage roles and branches.
• 1:46In the Branches tab you assign a new branch,
• 1:48and expanding it lets you choose the roles they'll have specifically there.
• 1:53That way one person can end up with several roles and several branches,
• 1:57even if the invitation started with just one.
