Outbound staging area

• 0:12When an order is done being prepared, already packed and labelled,
• 0:16it waits in the warehouse until the carrier picks it up.
• 0:20The outbound staging area is that place:
• 0:22it shows you what is ready to leave and how long it has been waiting,
• 0:26and it records who dispatched each order, when and how.
• 0:30It is turned on per warehouse, from the picking settings.
• 0:34We turn on "Use outbound staging area" and save.
• 0:37From now on, every order finished in this warehouse moves to the staging area.
• 0:42So that someone on your team can dispatch from the staging area,
• 0:46give them the Outbound staging role from the warehouse users.
• 0:50With that role they see the area, open the order details and dispatch them.
• 0:55The staging area is in the Operations menu.
• 0:57There you see the orders waiting to leave, with the same information as the order list,
• 1:03how many packages each one has and how long it has been waiting.
• 1:07Tap an order to open its full details, in case you need to check it or change its operator.
• 1:12To dispatch them, tap the scan out button and point the camera at the package labels.
• 1:17This order has two packages.
• 1:19When you scan the first one, the screen shows one of two: it is not complete yet.
• 1:25With the second package, the order is complete.
• 1:29Mercado Libre labels are read the same way:
• 1:31with their code, the order is ready to leave.
• 1:34And if a label is outdated because the order was changed,
• 1:38the screen warns you so you can reprint it.
• 1:41When you confirm, the complete orders leave and you see a summary of what was dispatched and what was left out.
• 1:47Back in the staging area, those orders are gone.
• 1:51If you can't use the camera, select the orders in the list and dispatch them from there.
• 1:56It is recorded as a manual dispatch, under your user.
• 2:00In the filters you can see the orders that already left.
• 2:04For each one it records who put it in the staging area, who took it out, when and how.
• 2:10And in the warehouse indicators you have a block for the staging area:
• 2:14how many orders are waiting, the oldest one, the average time in the area and how many left, by scan or by hand.
• 2:21Below, two charts: how the orders that entered the area left, by scan,
• 2:26by hand or with the wave, and how many were removed or went back to preparation;
• 2:31and how long they waited before leaving.
