How to configure the warehouse's picking settings

• 0:11in the row's menu, next to locations and the warehouse's general settings.
• 0:16At the top are the three fundamental decisions.
• 0:19"Consolidated picking" sets whether the picker goes order by order or gathers
• 0:25everything in a single pass.
• 0:26"Assignment strategy" decides what to prioritise when splitting the work:
• 0:32maximising complete orders, or respecting the delivery date.
• 0:36And "Lot selection" has three modes:
• 0:38strict FEFO forces the earliest-expiring lot,
• 0:42suggested FEFO proposes it but allows a change, and Free imposes none.
• 0:47Below are the three controls over what the picker is allowed to close.
• 0:52"Require location scan" forces them to confirm the bin before picking.
• 0:56"Allow incomplete orders":
• 0:58if it's off, they can't close a task that has short or partial lines.
• 1:02And "Allow finishing with shortages" lets them close without walking every line
• 1:07— it depends on the previous one, and if that's off, this one is disabled.
• 1:13Further down, "The picker assembles the orders" sets who splits the merchandise after a consolidated pass:
• 1:20if it's on, the picker does it themselves;
• 1:22if not, a supervisor. Turning it on reveals two label options:
• 1:26when it gets printed, and whether the format is A4 for a laser printer or A9 for a thermal one.
• 1:33"Show timer" shows the picker the elapsed time while they work.
• 1:37At the end is everything about substitutions:
• 1:40whether they're allowed, whether the system suggests alternatives,
• 1:44and whether they're only offered to clients who accept them.
• 1:48And automatic replenishment, which requests a refill as soon as a product comes up short.
• 1:53It's best to change one option at a time:
• 1:56each one changes the work of every picker in the warehouse.
